Job summary

The role supports kiln production, records process data, and performs routine maintenance and change-overs. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 6 months manufacturing/warehousing experience, and CRC Bronze or higher.

Qualifications

• Must complete all required job training.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months manufacturing/warehousing experience or equivalent.
• CRC Bronze or above.
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions; communicate in one-on-one settings.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and monitors the GHCM; logs settings on the Extrusion Activities Log Sheet.
• Adjusts cradle and die transfer settings; verifies operations per instructions.
• Performs start-up procedures and maintains extrusion process.
• Looks for defects; takes corrective action per the Process Adjustment Plan.
• Collects weight samples; records data in APICS system.
• Cleans components; logs data in SPC software; maintains equipment boards.
• Handles contaminated material; moves material to containment area.
• Performs change-overs; records die adjustments during runs.
• Follows safety rules; avoids forklift hazards and uses doors/hoists properly.
• Participates in PM, MMOL and G5S activities as needed.
• Adheres to EMS procedures for waste disposal.
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
