Job summary

SERVPRO - Team SPG in Georgia is seeking a Contents/Restoration Technician to perform pack-out, cleaning, inventory, storage, and pack-back of customer belongings, ensuring careful handling and accurate documentation.

You will work with production teams, load and maintain vehicles, prepare sites, and communicate safety hazards and job requirements. The role offers on-site work, on-call rotation, and hourly pay of $18-$22 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in contents restoration preferred.
• IICRC certifications a plus.
• Must follow SERVPRO processes and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform pack-out, inventory, cleaning, storage, and pack-back of customer belongings.
• Complete jobs according to SERVPRO processes and document work.
• Carefully handle, label, photograph, and document contents to prevent loss or damage.
• Clean and restore contents using approved methods and equipment.
• Load and maintain vehicles with tools and supplies for each project.
• Prepare rooms and areas for work activities and set up equipment.
• Communicate safety hazards, jobsite findings, and equipment needs to supervisors.
• Work with management and technicians to maintain efficient production.
• Perform end-of-day and end-of-job cleanup and breakdown.

Job Description

The Contents Technician performs the pack-out, cleaning, inventory, storage, and pack-back of customer belongings, ensuring careful handling, accurate documentation, and quality results.

Primary Responsibilities

• Complete jobs according to SERVPRO processes per work order, performing production work and completing job documentation.
• Perform pack-out, inventory, cleaning, storage, and pack-back of customer belongings.
• Carefully handle, label, photograph, and document customer contents to prevent loss or damage.
• Clean and restore contents using approved methods, products, and specialty equipment.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and supplies for each project.
• Prepare rooms and areas for work activities; set up staging areas and equipment for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, jobsite findings, and equipment/tool requirements to supervisors.
• Communicate with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
• Work as a team to provide quality and efficient work and perform production processes as directed.
• Perform end-of-day and end-of-job cleanup and breakdown, leaving the jobsite clean and orderly.
• Resolve problems quickly as they arise and provide courteous, professional customer service.
• Clean and maintain vehicles, equipment, warehouse, and office areas.
• Learn and develop restoration/contents skills to elevate the SERVPRO brand and grow within the company.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Previous contents, cleaning, or restoration experience preferred.
• IICRC certifications a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Must be able to work in person and travel to job sites as needed. Available for weekend and after-hours on-call rotation.
• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States and able to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Repetitive pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying of objects throughout the day.
• Walking and standing for long periods, as well as driving, sitting, and climbing.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights.
• Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces under buildings and attics).
• Exposure to chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise.
• Occasional exposure to extreme conditions such as heat, cold, and noxious odors.
• Required to occasionally wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform demanding tasks throughout the day.

Job Type

• Full- Time, up to 40 hours per week.
• On- Call

Salary

$18-$22 / hour, pending experience.
