  • Work hard and take pride in completing projects (i.e. Contents cleaning, Garment / Tesxtile / Dry Cleaning, inventorying, packing and moving of items after a fire or flood damage, etc.)

  • Starting Hourly pay: $13.00 to $14.50/hour based on experience and certifications

  • Have the ability to work nights/weekends and overtime, if needed
  • Ability to lift 50 LBS frequently or team lift heavier items
  • Able to pass a respirator fit test
  • Able to pass a physical examination/testing
  • Desire to continually learn new thingsIn‑House Hard Contents Cleaning & Garment/Textile Restoration Technician:

    This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

    Textiles:
    • Sorts & Inventories washed & unwashed textile articles on jobsite or at PDR Facility by color and fabric and tracks all items collected; reports any shortages or discrepancies in counts to the Contents Supervisor and/or Manager
    • Documents any pre‑existing and/or post cleaning damages to articles of clothing/material.
    • Knows when and how to administer pre‑treatments in order to remove dirt, debris and stains to textiles.
    • Loads and unloads Esporta and/or washing and drying machines.
    • Knows and Uses correct chemicals for type of cleaning needed
    • Can identify different types of laundering needed and sort accordingly.
    • Washes, dries or fluffs, folds, and places clean articles in boxes or hangs on hangers when necessary.
    • Can properly pack a box with linens and tape shut and label.
    • Can use a tape gun and box cutter
    • Can use a computer / Ipad / smart device for inventory and tracking, etc.
    • Can properly Iron or use an iron press.
    • Can use a steamer.
    • Accounts for the accurate amount of laundered linen and clothing for each job.
    • Maintains accurate record of all in‑coming and out‑going clothing items.
    • Files laundry sheets, time sheets, maintenance logs, load logs, request records, etc. for future reference.
    • Routinely handles chemicals commonly used in laundry and performs custodial duties in the laundry area.
    • Keeps work area clean and safe.
    • Cleans washers and dryers daily.
    • Reports any problems with laundry machines or laundering equipment to supervisor.
    • Follows inventory tracking procedures
    • Can perform and use upholstery cleaning machines
    • Can hand wash items
    • Can use proper deodorizing techniques
    • Follows and maintains or exceeds all Quota expectations
    • Can properly wear PPE as required
    • Follows safety rules and guidelines
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    Hard Contents Cleaning (in‑shop):
    • Loads and unloads contents from boxes
    • Properly able to sort contents according to their cleaning processes & Stations
    • Properly able to use the "Clip system" to follow the contents throughout the cleaning process without misplacing or mixing contents from their original boxes
    • Must be able to clean at all cleaning stations including but not limited to: Ultrasonic cleaning, wet hand cleaning, dry hand cleaning, electronics cleaning, appliance cleaning, furniture cleaning, upholstery cleaning, etc.
    • Must be able to use basic hand tools for taking apart certain contents (furniture, electronics, etc.) and properly put back together
    • Must be able to always wear gloves and other proper PPE required.
    • Must be able to work in hot/cold, dry/wet, dark/bright, loud/quiet environments , etc.
    • Must be able to properly determine if items are clean or dirty, have an odor, or back to pre‑loss condition
    • Must be able to properly wrap and package contents to prepare for moving
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
    • Must be able to move and rotate furniture
    • Must be able to stand, bend, push, pull and use fine motor skills to handle all types of contents
    • Must be able to work at ground level for periods of time to clean bottoms of items
    • Must be detail oriented
    • Must be a self starter
    • Must be organized
    • Must be able to work in a fast pace environment and Meet or exceed all Quotas
    • Must be able to follow cleaning process, reports any problems and perform other duties as assigned

    • Highly accountable, reliable, prompt, with a strong work ethic and the ability to function independently in all cleaning areas.
    • Flexible and effective under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Ability to: lift, push, pull, and otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 pounds; stand and/or walk for long periods of time; and exercise safety and care to avoid injuries or breakage.
    • Ability to work with cleaning compounds, solvents, and chemicals.
    • Ability to effectively understand, communicate, and follow instructions in English (verbally and written).
    • Demonstrates basic Ipad skills and use of Inventory program
    Physical Requirements

    This job requires the ability to perform the essential functions contained in this description. These include, but are not limited to, the following requirements.

    • Ability to move and lift furniture, equipment, refuse, laundry and containers weighing up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to exercise safety and care in the provision of custodial and laundry services.
    • Ability to operate power‑driven cleaning machines.
    • Ability to be around heat sources
    • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and compounds.
    • Extensive reaching, bending, lifting and moving of heavy objects or materials; climbing.
    • Extended periods of walking throughout the facility.
    • Extended periods of standing.
    • Valid State Driver’s License
    • Must be able to pass Drug testing at all times
      • Must be able to pass a criminal background check yearly
