Job summary

Christian Reformed Church In North America Foundation is seeking a Content Support Specialist to join the Resonate Global Mission team in Michigan. This part‑time role (20 hours/week) focuses on English editorial tasks, social media content, and coordinating translated materials.

The position offers flexibility, three weeks of vacation, retirement contributions, and opportunities for professional development within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Editorial experience including line editing, copyediting, proofreading.
• Experience in educational or ministry publishing is an asset.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign and desktop publishing.
• Ability to format layouts for translations and print prep.

Responsibilities

• Typeset and format international study guides in multiple languages using InDesign.
• Prepare and format document layouts for translations with visual consistency.
• Assist with communications strategies and outreach for international guides.
• Provide line editing, proofreading, and formatting in coordination with content coordinator.
• Perform routine administrative tasks and document management.
• Create social media content and digital assets for Global Coffee Break.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

PURPOSE

The Content Support Specialist will serve as the primary internal publishing and editorial support engine for Global Coffee Break (GCB) of Resonate Global Mission with the Christian Reformed Church (CRCNA). This role includes executing English editorial and production tasks, creating general social media content for the organization, and providing supplementary outreach to share translated materials.

This position is part-time at 20 hours a week and offers a flexible work schedule and an attractive benefits package including three weeks' vacation, retirement fund contribution, and more.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Typeset and format international study guides in multiple languages using Adobe InDesign.
2. Prepare and format document layouts tailored for international translations, ensuring visual consistency.
3. Assist with communications strategies and outreach to promote international guides that target language networks and users.
4. Provide hands‑on assistance with line editing, proofing, typesetting, and formatting English study guides in coordination with the Global Coffee Break content coordinator and vendors.
5. Perform routine administrative tasks and document management.
6. Create social media content and digital assets for Global Coffee Break.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE:

QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

1. Able to support the mission, vision, and values of the CRCNA.
2. Willingness to promote the Global Coffee Break program with enthusiasm and tact.
3. Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign and desktop publishing, with proven expertise in document typesetting, spacing, translation layout adjustments, and print preparation.
4. Proven ability in digital graphic creation and copywriting for social media management and organizational communications.
5. Detail-oriented self-starter managing complex, shifting publication workflows.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Graphic Design, or equivalent professional experience.
2. Intermediate editorial experience including line editing, copyediting, proofreading, and familiarity with curriculum structural frameworks and MLA format.
3. Intermediate experience in educational or ministry publishing process is an asset.
