ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a unique, hybrid position that blends content production with account management.

You’ll be responsible for both creating exceptional written content and serving as the strategic point of contact for a group of Alto Studios’ Members.

You’ll own the full relationship from content strategy and ideation to shaping narratives, producing high-quality drafts, and managing timelines and communication with Members.

It’s a great fit for someone who’s sharp, emotionally intelligent, and excited to grow as a creative strategist, content producer, and AI-savvy professional – all while building deep relationships.

This is an early-career role, and ideal for someone with 1-3 years of experience in editorial, communications, agency, and/or client-facing service delivery roles.

This role will begin as a part-time contract position.

You’ll start by working on 2-4 accounts to get ramped up on our systems, processes, standards, and expectations. This contract commitment will require 15-20 hours per week.

After 90 days, we’ll evaluate performance with the hope of converting the role into a full-time, salaried position for the right person. However, the timeline for a full-time offer could change.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Account Strategy and Management:

  • Own relationships with Members, serving as their primary point of contact at Alto Studios.
  • Coordinate onboarding workflows, proactively surface content ideas, guide Members through editorial timelines, and coach them on Alto Studios’ content best practices.
  • Manage async communication via Slack, Google Workspace, Notion, and voice memos.
  • Identify content opportunities and deepen trust through thoughtful, responsive service.

Content Production

  • Write sharp, engaging, professional content on behalf of top-tier executive for LinkedIn and other social content, newsletters, and potentially long-form pieces.
  • Transform raw voice memos, transcripts, and notes into polished drafts that reflect each Member’s authentic tone, style, voice, and perspective.
  • Use Alto Studios’ proprietary Content Copilot tool (similar to ChatGPT and Claude) to brainstorm, outline, and iterate on content for our clients.
  • Incorporate feedback from Members to strengthen drafts and elevate narrative strategy.

WHO YOU ARE

  • A sharp writer and communicator: You’re fluent in digital writing and have a nose for voice, tone, and structure.
  • Emotionally intelligent and reliable. You manage relationships with empathy, professionalism, and follow-through.
  • Organized and proactive. You can manage multiple timelines and move work forward independently.
  • Curious and excited about AI. You use ChatGPT and/or Claude regularly and think creatively about how to use AI to up-level your work.
  • Coachable and collaborative: You like feedback, ask smart questions, and want to get better every day.

Bonus: Experience in journalism, editorial, ghostwriting, agency, or client-facing creative work.

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Haves:

  • 1-3 years experience working in editorial, content, agency, and/or communications roles
  • Demonstrated writing ability; please share your writing portfolio or writing samples with your email application (see below for details on how to apply)
  • Strong familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.
  • Comfortable in async-first, remote work environments

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Business Journalism or Editorial Background: Experience producing content focused on business, tech, entrepreneurship, and/or investing. Experience across various content formats and channels (e.g., social media posts, newsletters, case studies, etc).
  • Interviewing / Reporting Expertise: Proven ability to interview business and industry leaders to extract unique insights and craft compelling narratives that resonate with executive audience.
  • Executive Content Strategy: Familiarity with writing for an executive audience and experience developing thought leadership content that aligns with corporate brand strategy.
  • Project and Content Management: Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to tight deadlines, and maintaining high quality. You thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Digital Publishing Knowledge: Experience with digital publishing platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, X/Twitter, newsletter, etc). Familiarity with analyzing content performance metrics (e.g., engagement, views, shares) to inform content strategy and optimize output.
  • Passion for Startups and Investing: We're looking for someone who is genuinely interested in how companies are started, scaled, and exited. Individuals who are curious about company building and VC / PE investing are strongly encouraged to apply.

POSITION DETAILS

Education Background: A college education is preferred, but not required.

Compensation: Compensation for the part-time, contract role is TBD (based on experience)

*Note: Compensation would adjust to a salary if a full-time offer is made

Hours: Typical "business hours" are 9 am-5 pm EST, Monday-Friday. *For this part-time contract, we'll align on certain days / time you're expected to be available to complete work.

Location: This position is fully remote, as Alto Studios is a remote-first company.
