Program Overview:
Education and Employment Services is a $15.5 million dollar division serving over 9,000 people each year through a continuum of services from Early Childhood Education through Adult Workforce programs designed to assist individuals in obtaining the skills necessary for lifetime self‑sufficiency. Education Services include Early Childhood Education, After School & Camp Services Programs, Athletics, Community Schools, Expanded Horizons College Success Program, and our Youth Opportunity Hub. Education programming takes place within 3 community center sites and multiple school‑based Programs.
The Content Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and supporting comprehensive educational programming designed to meet the academic, social‑emotional, and developmental needs of youth participants within Henry Street Settlement’s Education & Employment/Youth Services programs. This role leads to the development of hands‑on inquiry‑based academic projects, enrichment activities, and recreation experiences while ensuring programming reflects early college awareness, post‑secondary exploration, and youth choice and agency. The Content Specialist collaborates with program coordinators, instructional staff, administrative teams, families, and community partners to support high‑quality curriculum implementation, assess student progress, and ensure programs meet grant requirements and participant needs. The position plays a key role in creating inclusive learning environments that support students from diverse academic backgrounds and promote positive youth development.
