Job description

NextLevel Thinking is seeking a Content Specialist to bring creativity, fast iteration, and engaging storytelling to the clients we serve. In this role, you will lead the content effort, working closely with our account managers and account teams to brainstorm, shoot, curate, edit, and publish high-performing content that engages audiences and builds brand awareness.

We are looking for a passionate creator who genuinely loves this kind of work, possesses a natural curiosity, and wants to take ownership of our client content. Drone experience is a big plus. You will lead the full content curation and production lifecycle, from concept and field capture to post-production and distribution. This role demands a strong creative eye for storytelling, solid editing capabilities, and the enthusiasm to curate dynamic visual assets for both short-form and long-form channels.

We're small, we're collaborative, and we genuinely care about the work and the people on the team. Our hiring philosophy is quite simple. We have a deep desire to bless those who come to work with us, and hope for them to bless us in unexpected ways. With that unique expectation, it's incredible to see what happens to the individuals involved and to our team as a whole.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client & Account Alignment: Partner closely with account managers and client-facing teams to understand brand narratives and translate strategic marketing briefs into visual storytelling that highlights those narratives.
  • Content Strategy & Curation: Collaborate with the account team in strategy discussions and curate media assets to ensure all content points to the same cohesive story.
  • On-Site Capture: Plan and execute photo and video shoots at client offices, active construction sites, commercial developments, and completed projects across Greater Houston and surrounding regions.
  • Post-Production: Cut, color grade, perform sound design, and refine visual assets for crisp, polished final deliverables.
  • Platform Optimization: Tailor and curate visual assets into high-converting, platform-native formats (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Website).

Qualifications & Skills

  • Social Media Curation: Experience managing and curating content across key platforms, with a natural understanding of what drives digital audience engagement.
  • Graphic Design Fundamentals: Working knowledge of graphic design principles to support lower-thirds, video thumbnails, and visual assets required for video editing.
  • Analytics & Performance Tracking: Demonstrated interest in analyzing social channel metrics alongside account managers to evaluate content effectiveness and refine curation strategies.
  • Editing Proficiency: Solid hands-on experience with desktop NLE software (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro) and a strong desire to continually grow your craft.

Who You Are:

  • You know how to juggle moving pieces and communicate efficiently to keep account managers, internal team members, and client stakeholders informed.
  • You are a curious self-starter who thrives with autonomy, loves taking the lead on projects, but also collaborates seamlessly with the account team and knows when to ask for help.
  • You have attention to detail and care deeply about getting things right.
  • You have strong time-management skills with the ability to manage content calendars and deadlines independently.
  • You want to work in a small, tight-knit environment where team collaboration, curiosity, and a genuine love for content creation are key.
