Description du poste

It’s a great time to join COMC – Millions of Cards. Endless Joy. Our industry is thriving, and COMC is investing in the technology, infrastructure, and customer experiences that will power our next stage of growth. We’re building a team passionate about making collecting easier, more engaging, and more enjoyable while expanding the reach and capabilities of our marketplace.

Location: Algona, WA or Remote

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Reports To: Director of Marketing

Travel Required: Limited. Occasional travel to select card shows, industry events, and, if remote, COMC headquarters may be required to capture content.

Summary

COMC is seeking a versatile, hands‑on Content & Social Media Producer to create high-quality written, visual, and video content across COMC’s customer-facing channels while owning the day‑to‑day planning, publishing, community engagement, and optimization of its social media presence.

The role will build on COMC’s existing social presence and further develop social media as a channel for brand discovery, community engagement, and activation through a focused, quality‑led approach. This is a social‑first role, but not a social‑only role. The producer will also contribute content for email, COMC.com, print materials, and other Marketing initiatives, moving comfortably between larger original projects and practical day‑to‑day assets that keep campaigns moving.

Video will be central to the position. The producer will capture and edit original content at COMC headquarters and select card shows as needed, cover live moments and customer stories, and appear on camera as an authentic and recognizable representative of the COMC brand.

The producer will also use AI tools responsibly to accelerate research, ideation, editing, repurposing, publishing, and production workflows while preserving original thinking, authentic human‑created content, creative judgment, and human review.

About You

You are first and foremost an excellent content producer. You know how to turn a card, collector story, COMC service, hobby trend, event, or everyday moment into content that people will choose to watch, read, share, and act on.

You can carry an idea from concept through execution and evaluation. You are comfortable capturing and editing video, appearing on camera, writing copy, adapting content for different platforms, scheduling and publishing it, engaging with the audience, and learning from its performance.

You understand that effective social media requires both consistency and impact. You know how to balance a sustainable publishing cadence with content that drives discovery, builds affinity, encourages participation, and supports business objectives.

You are also a resourceful generalist who enjoys working on a small team. While social media and video are your primary focus, you are comfortable writing an email, building a polished Canva graphic, updating web content, or adapting an existing idea into the assets needed to support a broader campaign.

You are curious about emerging tools and highly comfortable using AI to improve speed and scale without sacrificing accuracy, authenticity, brand integrity, creative judgment, or human oversight.

Responsibilities
Content Production and Social Media Ownership
  • Produce high-quality written, graphic, photo, and video content for COMC’s social media and other customer-facing channels.
  • Own the day‑to‑day social media content calendar from planning and production through approval, scheduling, publishing, community engagement, and post‑publication optimization.
  • Help execute a focused, quality‑led social approach that balances a sustainable publishing cadence with content designed to improve discovery, engagement, brand affinity, and activation.
  • Develop original social content in a range of formats, including short-form and long-form video, photography, graphics, written posts, interviews, explainers, event coverage, and recurring content series.
  • Adapt content to the audience, conventions, and technical requirements of each platform rather than publishing identical content across every channel.
  • Capture and edit video and photography at COMC headquarters, card shows, industry events, and other locations as needed.
  • Appear on camera and conduct interviews for selected videos, service explainers, customer stories, event coverage, and recurring content.
  • Monitor social conversations, audience responses, hobby trends, cultural moments, and emerging formats to identify relevant opportunities for COMC.
  • Engage with the collector community in an informed and brand‑appropriate manner, escalating account‑specific questions and service concerns to Customer Success when appropriate.
Cross‑Channel Marketing Support
  • Create and repurpose complementary content for marketing emails, COMC.com, blog and editorial features, landing pages, web graphics, print materials, and other campaign needs.
  • Write clear, engaging copy and create polished graphics using Canva, established templates, and other approved tools.
  • Translate COMC services and capabilities, including buying, consigning, flipping, COMC Mailbox, grading, and auctions, into accessible and compelling customer stories.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Operations, and subject‑matter experts to ensure content is accurate, timely, useful, and aligned with campaign and business priorities.
Content Operations and Optimization
  • Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate research, ideation, transcription, captioning, editing, resizing, repurposing, asset organization, and publishing while maintaining human creative direction and review.
  • Monitor channel and content performance, identify actionable insights, and apply those learnings to future topics, formats, distribution, and publishing cadence.
  • Maintain organized content files, reusable assets, templates, footage, releases, and other production resources.
  • Follow brand, accessibility, copyright, licensing, privacy, and platform requirements when creating and publishing content.
Working Expectations
  • Travel occasionally to COMC headquarters, card shows, and other events as needed to capture content. Regular travel and frequent on‑site content capture are not expected.
  • Maintain some evening and weekend availability for event coverage, timely publishing, and other planned content needs.
  • Participate in shared monitoring of COMC’s social channels outside standard business hours, maintaining awareness of developing conversations or issues and responding or escalating when timely attention is warranted. Continuous availability is not expected.
Required

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong multimedia storytelling skills and demonstrated ability to create content that earns attention and encourages audience action.
  • Strong video‑production capabilities, including concept development, filming, audio capture, editing, captioning, and optimization for mobile and social viewing.
  • Proficiency with at least one professional or mobile video‑editing platform, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut.
  • Confidence and authenticity on camera, with the ability to explain concepts, conduct interviews, and represent COMC professionally.
  • Strong working knowledge of major social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn, and their audiences, formats, publishing tools, and best practices.
  • Ability to plan and manage a social content calendar from idea generation through production, approval, publication, community engagement, and performance analysis.
  • Sound judgment when monitoring and engaging with online communities, including the ability to distinguish between engagement opportunities and customer‑service issues requiring escalation.
  • Strong copywriting, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex products and services clear, interesting, and relevant.
  • Working graphic‑design skills and strong proficiency with Canva or a comparable design platform.
  • Ability to create and adapt content for email, web, print, and campaign applications in addition to social media.
  • High level of comfort with generative AI and AI‑assisted creative tools, along with the judgment to use them appropriately and maintain human oversight.
  • Ability to interpret social and content‑performance data and translate it into practical improvements.
  • Strong organizational, project‑management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage planned campaigns, recurring responsibilities, timely opportunities, and rapid‑turn production needs.
Preferred
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud or comparable professional design and production tools.
  • Familiarity with content‑management systems, email‑marketing platforms such as Klaviyo, and web‑publishing workflows.
  • Working knowledge of basic SEO/AEO principles and their application to digital content.
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling, listening, community management, and analytics tools.
Education & Experience
Required
  • Three or more years of professional experience in content production, social media, multimedia production, digital marketing, journalism, or a related field.
  • A strong portfolio or demo reel demonstrating video, social media, writing, visual‑content, and cross‑channel production capabilities.
  • Experience managing brand social channels and engaging directly with online communities.
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media Production, Public Relations, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience and a strong portfolio will also be considered.
  • Experience appearing on camera, conducting interviews, or hosting branded content.
  • Experience producing content in live environments, including events, conventions, offices, warehouses, retail spaces, or production facilities.
  • Experience working within a small or fast‑moving Marketing team and contributing across multiple channels.
