Job summary

Google is seeking a data-driven investigator to safeguard the Google Ads ecosystem. This role blends technical data analysis, cross-functional leadership, and direct investigative work to protect users and advertisers.

You will influence how engineering teams build detection systems, scale enforcement, and reduce abuse while aligning with policy and product teams. This position supports flexible location options within the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
• Master's or PhD in quantitative field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Manager, Engineering, Sales and Legal to drive safety projects in Google Ads.
• Execute complex queries and analyses, build visual models, and present abuse trends to aid fraud prevention.
• Conduct investigations to catch fraudsters, enforce product policies, and identify vulnerabilities.
• Identify automation opportunities and drive cross-functional solutions.
• Provide on-call coverage and address escalations; may encounter disturbing material.
