Job summary

Great American Insurance Group's P&C IT Services team is seeking a candidate to design and modify policy forms using Quadient Inspire Designer/Inspire Interactive and to analyze letters with content comparisons. You will also unit test forms and collaborate across IT to improve processes.

The role requires scripting in Java/Groovy, XML, JSON, SQL, and working with PDF/Word documents, with a hybrid on-site/remote work arrangement and at least three days in the office.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related 2030 graduation year preferred.
• Experience with XML, JSON, Java/Groovy scripting, SQL, PDF, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Use Quadient Inspire Designer/Inspire Interactive to compose and modify documents based on requirements.
• Compose policy forms in Word and create PDF copies.
• Analyze Quote letters in Designer and run content comparison.
• Unit test forms by creating test XML/JSON and using Postman.
• Analyze and enhance existing Java/Groovy scripts.
• Modify Scaler workflows per enhancement requests and run SQL/Oracle queries.
• Participate in daily IT meetings and collaborate with CP team members.
• Understand IT processes to develop and improve forms.

P&C IT Services provides professional services to help our business units and corporate functions use technology to create, manage, and optimize information and business processes. Responsibilities:

• Use Quadient Inspire Designer/Inspire Interactive, composing variable forms, and other documents based on requirements from business/PDC.
• Compose policy forms in word and create a pdf copy of the form.
• Analyze Quote letters in Designer and identify the changes based on enhancement requests Run compare of newly built forms with the source document to compare the content.
• Unit test the forms by creating a test XML/JSON, Postman, and any other methods we use for certain scenarios.
• Analyze existing Javag/Groovy scripts and enhance as required.
• Make changes to Scaler workflows based on enhancement requests Run queries to extract form data from SQL or Oracle database.
• Participate in daily meetings to provide an update on the work.
• Collaborate with CP team members and other groups in IT to accomplish project tasks.
• Understand IT processes to develop the forms.

Requirements:

Ability to work in the office at minimum three days a week.
