Our client is a boutique branding and marketing agency based in Minneapolis. They help brands in real estate, healthcare, hospitality, and professional services show up with clarity and consistency across every touchpoint — from identity and web to social, campaigns, and content systems.
They operate as an extension of our clients’ teams, blending strategic thinking with hands‑on execution. Our work is collaborative, curious, and detail‑obsessed — we care as much about the process as the finished product.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Content & Production Manager is responsible for turning strategy and ideas into organized, on‑time, on‑brand content output. You’ll own the content pipeline for a set of client accounts, from planning and concepting through production, review, and final publishing.
You’ll partner closely with our strategy, design, and account teams to build content systems that work in the real world — making sure every asset has a clear purpose, every deadline is visible, and every launch is buttoned up.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who can confidently move between shaping the “what and why” of content and managing the “how and when” of production.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Planning & Development
- Translate marketing and brand strategies into channel‑specific content calendars and campaign plans.
- Build weekly, monthly, and campaign‑based content schedules across social, email, web, and other owned channels.
- Draft and refine content outlines, key message frameworks, social copy, and light web/email copy as needed.
- Develop clear creative briefs for design, motion, and copy contributors that outline objectives, audiences, and deliverables.
- Ensure content concepts ladder up to client goals, brand positioning, and performance targets.
- Lead or co‑lead ideation sessions to generate content themes, series, and executions tailored to each client.
- Recommend channel‑appropriate formats (e.g., Reels, short‑form video, carousels, static posts, newsletters, blog features, simple landing pages).
- Package concepts into concise decks or one‑pagers that clearly communicate the idea, purpose, and execution plan.
- Stay on top of platform trends and user behaviors, filtering out noise and surfacing what’s actually relevant to our clients.
Production & Workflow Management
- Own production timelines from intake to delivery for content projects across multiple accounts.
- Build and maintain project plans, task lists, and milestones using Asana (or a similar tool).
- Coordinate designers, writers, editors, and external partners, ensuring expectations and deadlines are clear.
- Track asset status (briefed, in‑progress, in review, approved, scheduled) and maintain accurate documentation.
- Manage review cycles, collect feedback, and ensure revisions are implemented correctly and efficiently.
- Oversee final QA for content to confirm accuracy, functionality (links, tags), brand adherence, and platform specs.
Publishing, Scheduling & Optimization
- Build and maintain content calendars in relevant tools and platforms (Meta tools, scheduling tools, email platforms, basic CMS environments).
- Load and schedule posts, emails, and basic web content based on pre‑approved calendars.
- Implement channel best practices for formatting, tagging, linking, and timing.
- Partner with the Digital Marketing Strategist to review regular performance reports and identify what’s working and what isn’t.
- Propose adjustments to content cadence, formats, and messaging based on performance insights.
- Present content plans, concepts, and rationale in a clear, confident, and concise way during client calls or reviews.
- Capture client feedback, questions, and constraints, and translate them into actionable next steps for the internal team.
- Support account leads with content inputs for proposals, scopes, and new initiatives.
- Contribute to evolving Edition Studios’ internal content processes, templates, and documentation for greater clarity and efficiency.
