Job description

About August Health

At August Health, our mission is to empower the essential work of caring for our elders. We achieve this by providing a modern operating platform and electronic health record (EHR) that enables senior living operators to deliver high-quality care with confidence. Caregivers are the heart of senior living communities, embodying care, compassion, and well-being. Yet, they face increasing challenges—higher resident acuity, complex workflows, and staffing shortages. At August Health, we build tools that simplify their tasks, eliminate inefficiencies, and provide the insights they need to focus on what truly matters—caring for residents.

At August, we strive to live our values each day, in every interaction with our customers and with each other.

  • Be responsible – leave things better than you found them
  • Take ownership – be decisive and take action
  • Be ambitious – build something great
  • Keep an open mindset – communicate candidly and welcome new ideas
  • Be humble – celebrate each other's successes and learn from our mistakes
  • Stay positive – assume best intent
About the Role

We’re looking for a Content Marketing Manager to shape the stories that define our brand and engage our market. You’ll lead the end-to-end creation of thought leadership, customer spotlights, and social content that captures our unique perspective. This role blends creativity with structure: one day you might be collaborating with an executive to outline an article, the next you’re publishing a polished customer case study or finishing a script for our next video. If you’re a strong and scrappy storyteller who knows how to turn ideas into compelling, audience-first content, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the content calendar across blogs, LinkedIn, newsletters, event programming and sales enablement.
  • Write, edit, and publish thought leadership content, including articles, blogs, and video scripts, from start to finish.
  • Run LinkedIn content for the brand account and key thought leaders, from planning posts to writing and publishing.
  • Write and produce customer stories, testimonials and case stories that demonstrate impact.
  • Support event content and programming, including speaking submissions, presentations, and agenda development, in conjunction with our events team.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to plan person-based newsletters.
  • Repurpose content across multiple formats, audiences, and channels.
  • Track performance of content initiatives and share actionable insights.
  • Ensure brand consistency and narrative cohesion across all channels.
About You
  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing for a B2B startup, as the first content hire or sole content marketer.
  • Proven track record building and executing a content calendar across multiple channels.
  • Skilled at producing a variety of content formats, including articles, case studies, video scripts, and thought leadership pieces.
  • Strong storyteller with the ability to craft audience-first, brand-aligned narratives.
  • Experience managing LinkedIn content for both brand accounts and executives.
  • Comfortable translating data and customer insights into compelling stories.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with high attention to detail.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
  • Intrepid at sourcing stories and ideas from peers, executives, and customers.
  • Curious mindset–you’re always keeping an ear open for the next story during customer calls, executive convos, industry chatter or while chatting with a peer.
  • Resourceful and proactive, equally effective at strategy and execution.
  • Experience creating content for events, panels, or speaking opportunities.
  • Health tech or healthcare background preferred but not required.
