Job summary

Hurrdat is seeking a Content Editor to review, edit, and provide feedback on website content, blog posts, and other digital marketing copy for an enterprise client. This 1099 contract runs 12 months with potential extension for up to 12 months.

Contractors manage their own taxes and benefits, may work on-site at Hurrdat's office, and will collaborate with the content team to ensure SEO, brand voice, and accuracy across all materials.

Qualifications

• Degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Advertising, or related field.
• Experience in content creation, copywriting, editing, or similar position.
• Excellent editing skills used to review work for spelling and grammatical errors, word choice, organization, and formatting issues.
• Outstanding creative, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Experience creating or editing content for senior living or related healthcare industries strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with SEO-driven keyword research preferred.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Proofread, copy edit, and comprehensively review written content with overall digital marketing strategy, search engine optimization goals, and client needs in mind.
• Review AI drafts for brand voice, factual accuracy, EEAT best practices, and on-page SEO.
• Provide constructive feedback for writers on all content marketing projects.
• Collaborate with Sr. Content Editor and other team members to execute content marketing tasks.
• Ensure all content adheres to both client and agency standards.
• Deliverables are expected according to agreed-upon project timelines.

Job Details: Job Location: OMAHA, NE 68137, Position Type: Contractor, Job Title: Content Editor - Independent Contractor (1099)

This is a 1099 independent contractor position for a specific 12-24 month project. The selected contractor will be responsible for their own income taxes, insurances, and equipment.

This role is not eligible for company-sponsored benefits, paid time off, or W-2 enrollment.

Candidates must submit two writing samples to be considered.

About the role:

As Content Editor, you'll review, edit, and provide feedback on website content, blog posts, and other digital marketing copy for an enterprise client in the senior living industry. This contracted engagement has an initial term of 12 months, with the option for Hurrdat to extend the contract for up to 12 months based on business needs.

Your work will support content marketing and SEO efforts, ensuring that all content is in line with client expectations and established digital marketing strategies.

Contractors may choose to work on-site at Hurrdat's office and are welcome to participate in team collaboration sessions, though attendance is not required.
