Wolters Kluwer is seeking an Acquisition Editor to help acquire, verify, and maintain clinical drug information for editorial content. You will use proprietary systems to support content development and ensure quality and standards are met.
The role requires pharmacy technician certification with 10+ years’ experience, familiarity with EMRs, and strong attention to detail as you manage multiple priorities and collaborate with clinical teams and operations partners.
The Acquisition Editor supports the acquisition, verification, and maintenance of clinical drug information used to develop embedded and referential domestic and international content. This role applies foundational knowledge of source interpretation and content structure to ensure digital content meets defined quality and industry standards.
The Acquisition Editor performs pharmaceutical surveillance, content intake, and editorial processing activities using proprietary systems and workflow tools.
Applies independent judgment within established guidelines to evaluate source materials, identify discrepancies, and determine appropriate content updates
Prioritizes and organizes assigned work to meet quality standards and deadlines

Responsible for researching, acquiring, and performing surveillance of pharmaceutical product information and associated source materials to support content development
Performs content entry, verification, formatting, and editing of drug-related data within editorial and proprietary systems, ensuring adherence to publication standards and internal policies
Applies general knowledge of industry practices and editorial procedures to ensure content accuracy, consistency, and completeness
Submits work for peer review and incorporates feedback to ensure quality and alignment with standards
Participates in surveillance, triages and assigns priority to pharmaceutical information, identifies and tracks translation needs and costs, and prepares materials for downstream editorial or clinical use
Manages and prioritizes assigned workload to meet defined deadlines, productivity expectations, and quality targets
Utilizes document management systems, workflow tools, and internal platforms to support acquisition and editorial processes
Contributes to workflow efficiency by identifying issues and developing solutions to tools, processes, or data handling
Foundational knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and clinical decision support (preferred)
Strong organizational and tracking skills with high attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
Problem-solving skills with ability to identify and resolve operational issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, etc.)
Fully certified pharmacy technician with 10+ years’ experience
Familiarity with electronic medical records

$40,500.00 - $69,150.00 USD
Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
