Job summary

Nashville Public Radio is seeking a detail-oriented Content Editor to ensure our digital content is accurate, accessible, and publication-ready. You will review grammar, structure, and metadata across web articles and CMS entries.

The role emphasizes QA, accessibility checks (WCAG 2.2 AA), and collaboration with Content Operations to uphold quality standards. You will work with editors, designers, and developers to fix issues and improve readability across platforms.

• Review content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, tone, and consistency.
• Perform digital content QA and identify broken links, outdated references, duplicates, and formatting issues.
• Validate CMS content, metadata, tags, ownership fields, and page elements.
• Perform basic accessibility checks aligned with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
• Validate headings, alt text, descriptive links, and content scannability.
• Conduct pre- and post-publication QA.
• Document defects and recommended corrections.
• Partner with Content Operations and stakeholders to resolve issues.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Content Editor to help ensure digital content is accurate, consistent, accessible, and publication-ready.

What you’ll do:

• Review content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, tone, and consistency
• Perform digital content QA and identify broken links, outdated references, duplicates, and formatting issues
• Validate CMS content, metadata, tags, ownership fields, and page elements
• Perform basic accessibility checks aligned with WCAG 2.2 Level AA
• Validate headings, alt text, descriptive links, and content scannability
• Conduct pre- and post-publication QA
• Document defects and recommended corrections
• Partner with Content Operations and stakeholders to resolve issues

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in content QA, proofreading, copy editing, digital content, or communications
• Strong command of grammar, editorial style, tone, and plain-language writing
• Hands-on CMS/digital publishing experience
• Experience with web, intranet, knowledge-base, or digital workplace content
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA and digital accessibility
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Experience with content governance, content migration, transformation, or refresh initiatives is a plus.
