Overview

The Content Creator & Cultural Specialist will play a key role in shaping a recognizable, engaging brand presence across social media platforms. This creative position combines cultural awareness, strategic thinking, and hands‑on production to develop short‑form content that connects with audiences and reflects real‑time digital trends. You will take ideas from concept to publication, including scripting, filming, editing, and appearing on camera as an authentic brand storyteller. Working closely with internal creative teams, business stakeholders, and external agency partners, you will transform brand narratives and product insights into compelling social experiences. The role requires a strong understanding of internet culture, platform‑specific storytelling, and evolving audience behaviors. You will also help develop recurring content formats and identify opportunities to make the brand more relevant in cultural conversations. This is a remote opportunity for a creative professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and knows how to turn timely ideas into impactful content.

Accountabilities
  • Create platform-native content: Conceptualize, script, film, and edit engaging short‑form videos using agile production workflows and modern creative tools to respond quickly to cultural moments and emerging trends.
  • Represent the brand on camera: Serve as an authentic, confident, and engaging spokesperson and storyteller across social channels, bringing personality and credibility to brand communications.
  • Monitor cultural trends: Track digital subcultures, online conversations, platform trends, and audience behaviors to identify timely opportunities for relevant, creative brand participation.
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with internal creative teams, social media and public relations specialists, business stakeholders, and external agencies to deliver coordinated, high‑quality content.
  • Develop recurring content formats: Contribute to ongoing social series and refine existing formats to translate brand narratives, product features, and business priorities into engaging audience experiences.
  • Maintain brand consistency: Follow established brand guidelines and creative standards while bringing fresh perspectives and innovative executions to social content.
  • Coordinate approvals: Work with legal, brand, and production stakeholders to navigate review processes efficiently and ensure content remains compliant and aligned with business objectives.
  • Apply platform expertise: Stay informed about TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and emerging social platforms, adapting creative approaches to changing algorithms, formats, audience expectations, and engagement patterns.
  • Balance speed and quality: Prioritize competing projects, respond to real‑time opportunities, and manage production challenges while maintaining strong creative judgment and execution standards.
  • Support social strategy: Help bring broader social media plans to life through audience‑focused storytelling, experimentation, and content that strengthens brand awareness and engagement.
Requirements
  • Professional experience: Three to five or more years of experience creating social‑first content for major brands, media organizations, or an established personal channel, with demonstrated success in generating meaningful audience engagement.
  • End‑to‑end production skills: Strong capabilities in short‑form video creation, including concept development, writing, scripting, filming, lighting, and editing.
  • Creative judgment: A strong visual sensibility, attention to detail, and the ability to produce polished, distinctive content that feels native to each platform.
  • On‑camera confidence: Natural camera presence, engaging storytelling abilities, and the capacity to communicate complex product information or brand messages in an accessible, relatable way.
  • Cultural awareness: A strong understanding of digital culture, emerging trends, online communities, and the nuances of social media audiences.
  • Platform expertise: Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and other relevant platforms, including their formats, evolving algorithms, and content best practices.
  • Strategic and business awareness: An interest in understanding products, audiences, and business objectives, with the ability to turn complex topics into entertaining, informative, and audience‑relevant stories.
  • Collaboration: A team‑oriented, low‑ego approach and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and external creative partners in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
  • Adaptability and execution: Strong organizational and prioritization skills, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to respond quickly to changing requirements without compromising quality.
  • Communication: Excellent storytelling, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to explain creative concepts and work constructively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Portfolio requirement: A portfolio demonstrating relevant social‑first content, video production capabilities, creative range, and audience engagement must be uploaded with the application.
  • Location: Must be based in an eligible U.S. state. Remote work is available nationwide, subject to applicable location restrictions.
