Job summary

MI Place Studio is seeking a part-time studio assistant to help with podcast production and content creation. You will set up gear, assist during recordings, welcome clients, and help grow the studio’s online presence with social content.

Ideal for someone learning studio workflows, with a passion for podcasts and media. This in‑person role offers 2–6 hours weekly, primarily evenings and weekends, with pay at $14/hour.

Important: This is a very part-time opportunity (2–6 hours/week) for someone looking to earn extra income while helping grow a local creative business. Ideal for an aspiring content creator, podcaster, or producer who wants hands‑on experience inside a working podcast studio.

At MI Place Studio, we’re building more than a podcast studio—we’re building a creator community. We’re looking for someone who’s creative, reliable, and excited to learn while helping us grow.

What You’ll Do

Studio Support

• Set up cameras, microphones, lighting, and recording equipment
• Welcome clients and help create a great recording experience
• Assist during podcast recordings
• Reset and maintain the studio after sessions

Content Creation

• Capture behind‑the‑scenes content
• Create or assist with Reels, TikToks, Shorts, and social posts
• Help promote MI Place Studio online and at community events
• Occasionally appear in promotional content

Growth Opportunity

As the studio grows, you’ll have opportunities to:

• Produce podcast sessions independently
• Learn studio equipment and production workflows
• Help launch and co‑produce an in‑house MI Place Studio podcast
• Grow into additional responsibilities and hours

Schedule

• 2–6 hours per week to start
• Primarily evenings and weekends
• Weekdays after 6 PM
• Weekends after 1 PM

Pay

$14/hour

Additional earning opportunities may be available through:

• Client referrals or new bookings
• Studio events
• Expanded production responsibilities as the studio grows

Bonus (Not Required)

• Podcast hosting or interview experience
• Video editing (CapCut, Premiere, etc.)
• Camera, OBS, or streaming experience
