Job summary

Better U, Inc. is seeking a Marketing Assistant / Content Creator / Community Manager for our Hollywood HQ.

This in‑office role collaborates with an external marketing agency to produce daily short‑form videos, drive multi‑channel content, and support CRM workflows. You will also help grow our founder’s personal brand and engage with an online community across echoes of mental health and wellness initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience in content creation, social media, or digital marketing.

• Plan, script, film, and edit content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and blogs.

Marketing Assistant *Social Media Content Creator & Community Manager (In-Office, Full-Time)

Who We Are

Better U, Inc. is a fast-growing, mission-driven wellness technology and administrative services company supporting a network of independent licensed clinicians who may offer holistic psychiatry, clinician-prescribed psychedelic therapy, HRT, TRT, longevity, and functional health services to their patients.

Better U, Inc. is a Management Services Organization (MSO). We provide non-clinical business, administrative, and operational support services exclusively to independent licensed clinicians. Better U, Inc. does not practice medicine, prescribe medications, or provide clinical services of any kind. All clinical care is provided exclusively by independent licensed healthcare providers.

We are rebuilding the infrastructure behind psychiatry from the ground up — moving away from a fragmented, symptom-only model toward integrated care that addresses the brain, body, habits, and nervous system.

We are also actively building the personal brand of our founder and CEO, @derek.duchesne, a leading voice in mental health reform, psychedelics, and modern wellness.

Role Overview

This role is not for beginners and not for people who need step-by-step direction.

We are looking for a self-starter, builder, and go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and wants real ownership — not busywork.

As our Marketing Assistant / Content Creator / Community Manager, you will work directly with our external marketing agency to execute everything related to content and marketing — from filming and editing daily short-form videos to supporting email, SMS, CRM workflows, and live event coverage.

You’ll sit at the center of the content engine, bridging day-to-day execution with agency strategy and founder vision. You’ll help turn live events, podcasts, founder moments, raw footage, and AI‑generated ideas into high‑performing content that grows Better U’s brand, community, and demand.

This is a hands‑on, in‑office role at our Hollywood HQ.

Content Creation & Video Production

• Plan, script, film, and edit content for TikTok, Instagram (Reels/Stories), YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and blogs
• Edit fast, engaging short‑form videos using CapCut (primary), with working knowledge of Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
• Capture and repurpose content from live events, conferences, panels, retreats, podcasts, and founder appearances
• Capture in‑office BTS moments and spontaneous thought leadership
• Turn raw footage into short‑form clips, quote graphics, AI‑assisted variations, and email and SMS content
• Create visuals using Canva and lightweight design tools
• AI content creation/video creation

AI-Driven Content & Automation

• Use tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Descript, Synthesia, Jasper AI, and similar platforms to draft and repurpose content, create hooks, captions, scripts, and variations, and speed up editing and publishing workflows
• Help build scalable content workflows and automations in collaboration with our marketing agency

Community Management

• Manage and engage with our online community across platforms — responding to comments, DMs, and replies
• Build trust, warmth, and credibility in mental health conversations
• Build relationships with aligned creators, partners, and influencers
• Monitor sentiment and surface insights to the team and agency

Marketing Operations & Growth Support

• Work directly with our external marketing agency on daily marketing execution across all channels
• Assist with campaigns and workflows using GoHighLevel (GHL) for CRM, pipelines, workflows, and SMS/email automations, and Klaviyo for email and SMS marketing
• Help manage content calendars, email and SMS sends, lead magnets, and nurture flows
• Track performance and assist with optimization
• Conduct light market research on trends in mental health, psychedelics, longevity, and digital marketing

Founder Personal Brand Support

• Support the capture and creation of thought leadership content for our founder's personal brand
• Help grow engagement and reach across social platforms
• Turn conversations, ideas, and live moments into compelling content
• Coordinate with the marketing agency to align founder content with broader brand strategy

Who This Role Is For

• 2–5+ years of experience in content creation, social media, or digital marketing
• Strong short‑form video editor — CapCut experience highly preferred
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats and moving fast
• Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts
• Experience using AI tools for content creation and optimization
• Familiarity with GHL, Klaviyo, CRMs, workflows, or automations — or the ability to learn fast
• Highly organized, proactive, and execution‑focused
• Strong communicator with solid project management instincts
• Comfortable collaborating with an external agency and cross‑functional teams
• Experience with Monday.com is a plus
• Personal brand building experience is a plus
