Job Description
SolarSquare | Content Creator
Location: Bangalore
Experience Required: 4 years
What You’ll Be Doing (basically Your Day-to-day)
- Visiting our customers across cities and getting them to share their solar journey on camera
- Breaking the ice with people who’ve never spoken on video before (and making it feel natural)
- Shooting testimonials, candid moments, and anything interesting you spot on-site
- Grabbing quick, sharp snippets with founders and team members
- Creating short-form content for SolarSquare’s social channels
- Editing videos fast—Reels, Shorts, whatever works—while the story is still fresh
- Figuring out what content will click, not just what looks “nice”
You’ll Fit Right In If You
- Are super comfortable talking to new people (you don’t wait, you initiate)
- Don’t freeze when a camera is on
- Can direct people casually without making it awkward
- Know how to shoot AND edit (phone or camera—doesn’t matter, output does)
- Think fast, move fast, and don’t need hand-holding
- Know how to translate brand RTBs into engaging, consumable content
- Are okay traveling across Tier 1 cities
- Stay on top of short-form video trends and adapt them to brand storytelling
- Have a strong instinct for fast-paced, engaging edits (hooks, jump cuts, captions, pattern interrupts)
- Use AI tools to speed up editing, captions, and ideation
- Continuously experiment, iterate, and improve content based on performance and learnings
Bonus Points If You
- Have done street interviews / vox pops / customer stories
- Are already making content on Instagram / YouTube
- Have a strong sense of what works in short-form video
What This Is NOT
- Not a “sit and design posts” job
- Not a slow, over-polished production setup
- Not for someone who needs scripts for everything
What You’ll Get
- A lot of ownership (you’ll shape how SolarSquare is seen)
- Freedom to experiment and try things
- Real stories, real people—not staged content
