What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the Nursing Review Program by managing peer and expert reviews and maintaining a database of reviewers
- Assist with administrative tasks, including obtaining contributor agreements and preparing author meeting arrangements
- Help prepare manuscripts and ancillary materials for production, including formatting and conducting stock photo research
- Manage permissions for outside requests and maintain records of all permissions granted
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Manager, including the potential to manage small projects through to publication
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Up to one year of experience in an entry-level editorial, digital publishing, or related role
- Bachelor’s degree in English, science, publishing, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Google Docs
- Ability to work well collaboratively as part of a team and interdepartmentally
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with digital art, electronic text, databases, FTP sites, DropBox, and internet research
- Energetic, can-do attitude with a desire to learn about the nursing publication business
