The Tennessee Department of Health seeks a Community Engagement Specialist focused on Content Development to advance health programs for children and youth with special healthcare needs. You will craft digital and print content, manage campaigns, and report on metrics while collaborating with partners statewide.

Hybrid role based in Nashville, with 37.5 weekly hours, requiring a bachelor’s in communications or related field and 2–5 years in health communications.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, PR, journalism, marketing, or equivalent portfolio.
• 2–5 years in public health, nonprofit, or government communications preferred.
• Proficiency in Canva and MS Office; Excel experience required with samples.
• Experience reporting platform metrics and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508).
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling; include writing samples.
• Knowledge of cultural competency in health communications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects remotely and meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Create and implement a communications plan aligned with program goals.
• Collaborate with experts and partners on digital and print materials.
• Update and maintain program websites; report on communications indicators.
• Develop monthly newsletters and social campaigns/PSAs.
• Lead community storytelling through interviews, videography, and photography.
• Build relationships with internal and external partners; support statewide campaigns.
