Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent portfolio.
• 2–5 years of experience in public health, nonprofit, or government communications preferred.
• Proficiency in Canva and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel; graphic design samples required.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a communication plan aligned with program goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and community partners to design compelling and culturally competent digital and printed materials.
• Update and maintain program websites.
• Create and report on indicators that measure communications performance.
• Develop and implement monthly newsletters, social media campaigns/public service announcements, etc.
• Create and develop initiatives involving the community, including stories, interviews, videography, and photography.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
• Contribute to campaign development and community education projects statewide.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to shifting priorities.
