Job summary

Syndicatebleu is seeking a Content Clipper to transform long-form video into social-first clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You’ll independently spot compelling, culturally relevant moments and turn them into fast-paced clips built for retention, engagement, and shareability.

Clipping samples are required. You’ll edit with pacing, captions, punch-ins, transitions, graphics, music, and other visual enhancements to optimize formats and stay current with trends.

We’re partnering with a creative team seeking a Content Clipper to transform long-form video into engaging, social-first content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

This role is ideal for someone who can independently spot compelling, culturally relevant, or potentially viral moments and turn them into fast-paced clips built for retention, engagement, and shareability.

Clipping samples are required.

What You’ll Do

• Review long-form video and independently identify strong, engaging, and potentially viral moments
• Turn interviews, conversations, and other long-form footage into concise, compelling social clips
• Develop attention-grabbing hooks and complete short-form narratives
• Edit videos with strong pacing, captions, punch-ins, transitions, graphics, music, and other visual enhancements
• Optimize content for the formats and audience behaviors of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Apply platform-native editing techniques that support watch time, retention, engagement, and shareability
• Stay current on emerging social trends, viral formats, editing styles, and cultural conversations
• Collaborate with the creative and social teams to develop compelling content

Qualifications

• Prior experience working as a Short-Form Video Editor, Social Video Editor, Content Clipper, Social Content Producer, or similar role
• Experience independently reviewing long-form video, selecting the strongest moments, and transforming them into engaging short-form clips
• Demonstrated ability to recognize emerging trends, culturally relevant conversations, and potentially viral moments
• Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, storytelling, audience retention, and platform-native social content
• Experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, Descript, or comparable editing tools
• Ability to work independently and support projects on a flexible, as-needed basis
• Experience editing podcasts, interviews, creator content, entertainment content, or talking-head videos is highly preferred
