Job summary

Front Street United Methodist Church is seeking a passionate, creative, and Christ-centered Worship Minister to lead our contemporary worship service in a part-time role. The position invites people of all ages to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ through worship and relational ministry with laity and church staff.

Qualifications

• Growing and active Christian faith.
• Commitment to The United Methodist Church's mission and theology.
• Experience leading contemporary worship with vocal/instrumental leadership.
• Familiarity with Planning Center Services and ProPresenter or willingness to learn.
• Ability to collaborate with pastors, volunteers, and church staff.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead the church's 9am contemporary worship service (Aldersgate Service).
• Select and play music that is theologically grounded, engaging, and appropriate for worship.
• Manage weekly worship tech, including live stream, song lyrics, and sermon slides in ProPresenter and Planning Center.
• Recruit, equip, schedule, and rehearse worship team volunteers.
• Coordinate worship planning with the Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor.
• Help cultivate a meaningful and welcoming worship experience that encourages participation and spiritual growth.
