Job summary

One River School of Art + Design is seeking practicing artists and passionate educators to teach grades 3–12 and introduce contemporary art in exciting, meaningful ways.

You will lead weekly art classes after school and on Saturdays, exploring painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media while encouraging experimentation and confidence in young creators. We value studio energy and a supportive, inclusive teaching style.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of teaching experience.
• Confident working across multiple art mediums (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.).
• Energetic, engaging, and able to foster creative confidence in students.

Responsibilities

• Lead dynamic, hands-on weekly art classes for students (Weekday Afternoons and Evenings and Saturdays)

• Create “WOW moments” that build confidence and artistic voice
• Connect thoughtfully with families about student growth and creative breakthroughs

• A practicing or highly engaged artist with at least 1 year of teaching experience
