Job summary

United Launch Alliance is seeking a proactive Contamination Control Engineer RS-2 to join our team in Centennial, CO. The successful candidate will help design, analyze, and integrate contamination control for Vulcan missions and launch operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Chemical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of related work experience, with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance and ITAR compliance. Travel to sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance; ITAR U.S. persons only.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; teamwork and problem solving.
• Experience with contamination control concepts and testing methods is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop contamination control requirements aligned with mission needs.
• Analyze contamination sources, transport, and deposition on payload surfaces.
• Set cleanliness requirements for hardware and operating procedures.
• Document and communicate contamination control programs across teams.
• Resolve contamination issues during production and launch operations.
• Periodic travel to launch sites and factory as required.
