Job summary

United Launch Alliance seeks a proactive Contamination Control Engineer RS-2 to join the Centennial, CO team. You will support analysis, design and integration of Vulcan missions and ensure contamination control requirements are met across production and launch operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Chemical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, 2+ years experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Travel to sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering required.
• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance; US persons per ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Develops contamination control requirements aligned with mission needs and ensures implementation.
• Analyzes contamination sources and transport to payload surfaces.
• Develops cleanliness requirements for hardware and supports verification.
• Communicates contamination control program across organization and with customers.
• Resolves contamination issues during production and launch operations.
• Periodic travel to launch sites and factory is required.
