SUMMARY
Employee must have the ability to perform sound weldments using the GTAW weld process and meet the Camfil’s acceptance criteria for visual inspection of welds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following.
Select equipment and plans layout, assembly and welding.
Alignment/ tack up of components in manufacturing prior to welding process.
Perform welding in accordance with Camfil’s welding procedures.
Assemble components in accordance with Camfil’s manufacturing drawings which may include welding, bolting, and riveting.

QUALITY: Performs required work in accordance with controlled procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing drawings.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Should be capable of lifting a minimum of fifty pounds and be able to stand on feet for extended periods of time. Must be able to freely bend and stoop. Must have good hand/eye coordination, and good visual acuity.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Required proficiency to pass a root face bend weld coupon for certification to the ASME Section IX of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for the GTAW weld process. Performed welds must meet the visual inspection acceptance criteria as prescribed by Camfil’s weld inspection procedures. Employee must also be capable of performing simple maintenance on welding equipment. Employee must be able read a measuring tape to 1/32 of an inch. Employee must be able to keep record of productivity, time keeping and have the ability to log in and out of work orders on a Camfil provided tablet.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Camfil products are manufactured in a climate controlledenvironment. Employees are required to wear PPE, which consist of safety glasses, welding gloves, safety shoes, and welding arc protection.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED (minimum) Trade School preferred of equivalent experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have above average reading comprehension, writing and oral communication skills. Computer skills and tablet skills are essential.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic math required, used in locating components during the assembly manufacturing process.
REASONING ABILITY: Must be self-sufficient and have the ability to trouble shoot manufacturing problems as they arise.
