Job summary

Nexus Disposal in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled welding technician to repair and maintain frontload and roll-off containers in a busy shop. You will perform flame cutting, bending, forming, and basic fabrication under supervision, using torches, grinders, measuring tools and standard shop equipment.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED, can read drawings, follow verbal instructions, lift up to 50 lbs, stand long hours, and work in a manufacturing environment without air conditioning.

Qualifications

• Basic welding techniques knowledge.
• Familiarity with safety procedures for repairing containers.
• Ability to operate shop tools and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and maintenance on frontload and roll-off containers.
• Uses torches and hand grinders to cut steel.
• Fabricates steel components for hoppers, containers, and compacters.
• Assists senior welders in project work.
