POSITION SUMMARY:

The Container Welder/Fabricator repairs, paints, and performs maintenance on containers and roll-off boxes.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Perform repairs and maintenance on front, rear, and roll-off containers.
2. Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
3. Fabricate steel components using a brake and shear.
4. Cut steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
5. Fabricate steel components for hoppers, containers, and compactors.
6. Install lids and wheels on containers.
7. Paint repaired containers.
8. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
9. Complete required paperwork.
10. Install company and safety decals on containers and roll-off boxes as per standard diagrams.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned.
12. Refer more complex repairs to the Supervisor.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or G.E.D.
2. Certified welder.
3. Advanced knowledge of MIG & stick welders, plasma cutter, and airless paint sprayers. Familiar with basic hand tools.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.

Minimum Requirements
