Job summary

Truist in Atlanta is looking for an experienced security engineer to implement container vulnerability scanning and strengthen SDLC security across the software stack. The role requires collaborating with development teams to ensure secure design, testing, and deployment practices.

You will lead small cybersecurity projects, design and test security technologies, and help drive remediation, governance, and capability improvements across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in security engineering or related cybersecurity roles.
• Advanced knowledge in cybersecurity principles, theories, and concepts.
• Proven experience in software development lifecycle security practices.
• Advanced knowledge of threat modeling, security testing, and penetration testing.
• Experience implementing and managing complex information security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and implement scanning tools to identify vulnerabilities in Container images and running containers
• Analyze vulnerabilities and assist development teams to understand and address vulnerability remediation
• Write scripts (Python, JavaScript, Terraform, etc.) to assist in automation of business requirements
• Develop and maintain the technical IT/cyber capabilities including all phases of the software development lifecycle and software stack
• Participate in designing, planning, enhancing, and testing cybersecurity technologies enterprise-wide
• Assist in evaluating and planning new technologies for future system requirements
• Lead small cybersecurity projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
