Job summary

Truist seeks a security engineer focused on cloud security across the SDLC. The role involves building and deploying security controls, automating workflows with Python, and managing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab in AWS environments.

You will work with Terraform/CloudFormation and Wiz, collaborating with diverse engineering and security teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions. 5 days a week in Atlanta or Charlotte offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in security engineering or related cybersecurity roles.
• Developing knowledge in cybersecurity principles, theories, and concepts.
• Experience in software development lifecycle security practices.
• Proficiency in implementing and managing information security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deploy security controls for Truist and enable Security controls.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Assist in the designing, planning, deploying, testing and implementation phases of Cloud Security Controls.
• Automate operational workflows using Python.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Manage AWS services and ensure secure, scalable cloud environments.
• Build, deploy, and automate containerized applications.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Implement and support cloud security tools (e.g., Wiz).
• Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline, cloud, and infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and security teams.
