Job summary

Cross Creek Nursery in the Richmond area is seeking a team member for our Container Design Team to help install seasonal designs and container gardens at residential and commercial locations. This is a seasonal, year‑round position with heavier hours during the summer, and more flexible hours in the winter.

You will work with another Container Team Designer and report to our Midlothian Nursery location, performing outdoor plant care, lifting up to 50 lbs, and assisting with landscape tasks as

• Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (hauling hoses, ladders).
• Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and care for plants at all growth stages.
• Hours vary with seasons (more in summer, less in winter).
• Prior experience with plant care or landscaping is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain exterior plants and container gardens around the Richmond area.
• Water, fertilize, and care for container plants year-round.
• Perform regular plant maintenance: deadheading, pruning, and replacing plants as needed.
• Transport plants, containers, and equipment to various locations.
• Lift and carry containers and hoses up to 50 lbs.
• Climb ladders to place or adjust plants and containers.
• Assist with additional landscape tasks as required.
