CW Talent is seeking a motivated individual for an entry-level landscape position in Williamsburg, Virginia. The role involves training in garden maintenance and performing a variety of landscaping tasks including planting, pruning, and working with senior horticulturists.
Applicants should have completed at least one year of college in horticulture or a related field and possess knowledge of landscape gardening. The position offers a weekday schedule from 6 AM to 2:30 PM and aims to develop skills in a supportive environment.
Performs landscape tasks at entry level while receiving training in garden maintenance, equipment, and conventional hand tools. Provides basic skills and knowledge to restore, maintain, and create the gardens in the Historic. Receives training in the art of fine gardening; plant identification; landscape construction; small equipment operation and service; and heirloom plant varieties. Assists and learns from senior horticulturists.
Experience as a gardener’s helper or groundskeeper; desire for a professional career in the horticulture field.
Ability to read instructions and fill out reports, to operate in a professional and safe manner, and experience with push mowers, and power hedge shears.
