Job summary

Georgia Ports Authority seeks an Equipment Operator - ARP to operate container handling equipment at the Appalachian Regional Port under supervision, ensuring safe, productive work and adherence to GPA service commitments.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment including RTGs is preferred.
• Valid CDL and some clerical experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Operate major container field equipment safely and efficiently to load/unload containers and chassis.
• Inspect equipment and report defects to supervisor.
• Maintain accurate inventory and assist with maintenance tasks as needed.
• Learn RF systems, computers, and other technology.
• Follow safety policies and participate in safety initiatives.
