Job summary

Apex-Waste-Solutions in Parker, CO is hiring a Container Delivery Driver to deliver, retrieve, and relocate secondary waste containers at customer sites. You will operate heavy vehicles with lifting mechanisms, ensuring safe placement and on-time service.

The role requires a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and 1–2 years of experience with heavy vehicles; HS diploma preferred. Excellent customer service and compliance with safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Clean driving record with no recent major violations or accidents.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience driving heavy vehicles or delivering large equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and place secondary containers, including dumpsters and bins, at specified customer locations.
• Retrieve containers upon customer request or according to the service schedule.
• Ensure proper placement of containers in compliance with customer instructions, safety protocols, and local regulations.
• Operate vehicles equipped with lifting mechanisms, roll-off systems, or other equipment for container transport.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Report any mechanical issues or needed repairs to the fleet maintenance team promptly.
• Interact professionally with customers, ensuring their needs are met during container delivery or retrieval.
• Address and resolve minor customer concerns or refer issues to the appropriate department.
• Provide guidance on container use and placement when necessary.
• Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and traffic laws while operating vehicles.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and participate in safety training.
• Ensure containers are secure during transport to prevent spills or accidents.
• Accurately complete delivery tickets, logs, and other required paperwork.
• Communicate with dispatchers and supervisors to confirm deliveries, report issues, or receive updated instructions.
• Use route optimization systems or GPS to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning containers and inspecting them for damage.
• Ensure customer sites are left clean and free of debris after container placement or removal.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.
