Job summary

LRS in Michigan is seeking a Container Delivery Driver to safely operate and deliver waste and recycling carts to customers. You will follow state and federal regulations and maintain accurate delivery records while supporting a positive service experience.

This role requires physical work, map reading, manual transmission driving, and the ability to work overtime and in all weather. Reports to Residential Supervisor and contributes to community-friendly waste solutions.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical requirements including lifting, pushing and climbing.
• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Ability to drive a truck with a manual transmission.
• General knowledge of mechanics of trucks.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck and perform job duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies
• Perform delivery and/or removal of waste or recycling carts and/or bins to customers
• Complete proper documentation on deliveries and removals
• Maintain and update work orders
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and completes logs
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management

• Be Accountable, The Container Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery and/or removal of waste or recycling carts and/or bins to customers. This position routinely requires physical exertion (lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling carts and/or bins) and entering/exiting the truck. Delivery drivers must be able to safely operate the vehicle, as well as provide courteous service to customers. The hours and physical demand may vary by route or area.
