Job summary

WM in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance on compactors and containers under general supervision. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems, and use computer diagnostics to guide repairs.

Qualifications

• 2 years previous experience
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
• Valid Driver's License Upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on compactors and containers.
• Inspects and diagnoses electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems.
• Uses computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Estimates time and material costs for repairs and requisition parts.
• Performs all work within standard repair times and handles service calls for emergencies.
• Completes paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times; assists senior technicians.
