Job summary

Waste Pro, USA is seeking a Container Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain compactors to ensure optimal operation. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of electrical and hydraulic components, and may visit customer sites regionally for service calls.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED with related maintenance experience, and any trade or electronics certifications are a plus. Valid driver’s license is required.

CONTAINER MAINTENANCE TECH

The compacter repair technician performs repairs and maintenance to compactors to maximize operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Compacter Repair Technician is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on compactors.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections, diagnostics and repair of electrical and hydraulic systems on compactors.
• May travel to customer locations within Region to repair containers.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION

• Required: Equivalent of (1) high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR (2) 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair.
• Required: Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: Mechanical or trade school certificate.
• Preferred: Certificate in electronic diagnostics.
• Preferred: ASE certificate.
• Preferred: Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience.
