Job summary

IHMVCU in Moline, IL is seeking a detail-oriented Consumer Underwriter to join our team in a hybrid role at our River Drive headquarters. You will review loan applications, assess risk, and provide well-reasoned lending decisions within policy.

Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and evaluate consumer loan applications received through all lending channels.

• Request additional information when needed to ensure complete and accurate underwriting decisions.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with members, team members, and business partners.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and Credit Union policies, regulations, and lending guidelines.
• Exercise sound judgment and critical thinking to evaluate unique lending scenarios.
• Research unfamiliar underwriting situations and present well-supported recommendations and solutions to leadership.
