Responsibilities

  • Review, validate, and evaluate consumer loan applications received through all lending channels.
  • Analyze loan applications and supporting documentation to assess risk and make lending decisions within authorized approval limits.
  • Request additional information when needed to ensure complete and accurate underwriting decisions.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with members, team members, and business partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and Credit Union policies, regulations, and lending guidelines.
  • Exercise sound judgment and critical thinking to evaluate unique lending scenarios.
  • Research unfamiliar underwriting situations and present well-supported recommendations and solutions to leadership.

What You\'ll Do

As a Consumer Underwriter, you\'ll play an important role in reviewing consumer loan applications and making sound lending decisions while delivering an outstanding member experience. Responsibilities include:

Physical Requirements
