Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a public health inspector to perform inspections of retail food stores, food processors, storage warehouses, and home food processors in Maine. You will assess sanitation practices and document non-compliance findings.

statewide travel is required. You must complete all training with a passing grade, hold a valid driver’s license, and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Four years of education, training, and/or experience in microbiology, agricultural science, food science, regulatory fields, or weights and measures.
• Must be willing to attend out-of-state training and pass all training requirements.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required.
