Consumer Products Litigation Associate
Location: San Francisco, Silicon Valley, or Los Angeles, CA
A leading global law firm is seeking a talented mid to senior level associate to join its Consumer Products practice in California. The team represents major consumer product manufacturers in high‑stakes matters involving Proposition 65, regulatory compliance, private plaintiff claims, and consumer class actions. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate seeking hands‑on responsibility, direct client interaction, and the chance to work alongside industry‑leading practitioners in a growing, specialised practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent consumer product companies in responding to demand letters and government inquiries involving California Proposition 65.
- Assist in defending consumer class actions involving alleged false advertising, consumer deception, and regulatory non‑compliance.
- Draft motions, briefs, and regulatory responses with precision and strong analytical focus.
- Collaborate with subject‑matter specialists on issues involving FTC, NAD, FDCA, CPSC, greenwashing, slack fill, and related consumer regulatory matters.
- Engage directly with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams across multiple offices.
Who You Are
- 5–8 years of litigation experience, ideally with exposure to consumer products or regulatory matters.
- Strong academic credentials, excellent research and writing ability, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Comfortable working directly with clients and handling matters efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience across industries such as food, supplements, cleaning products, technology, OTC drugs, and personal care is advantageous but not essential.
- Member of the California Bar or eligible for admission.
Compensation
Salary Range: $365,000 – $435,000 DOE
