As a Full-Time Consumer Loan Processor at Mercantile Bank, you will provide vital support to our Retail Loan Department, playing an essential role in managing a diverse range of retail loan products. Your responsibilities will include preparing comprehensive loan documentation, coordinating and scheduling closings, and performing pre-close quality reviews to ensure compliance with loan policies. You will also follow up on and process post-closing documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness by communicating with lenders to retrieve any missing documentation. Proficiency in the Bank's Customer Information System and other tools will enable you to efficiently monitor UCC filings, consumer loan insurance, and lien placements, while preparing necessary reports for internal stakeholders. Your strong communication skills will be utilized as you handle calls and assist both external and internal customers with resolutions.

Adherence to all regulations, policies, and required training will be vital in this dynamic, customer-focused role.

What We're Looking For
