Job summary

CITY & COUNTY CREDIT UNION is seeking a Consumer Loan Officer to evaluate, authorize and deny loan applications while serving members with courtesy and confidentiality. You will assess creditworthiness by reviewing applications, credit reports, and related documentation, and advise on loan options, including terms and repayment plans, in a compliant, member-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or some college preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience Credit and/or Consumer Lending experience in a bank or credit union
• 2+ years’ customer service experience with an ability to cross-sell products and services
• Solid understanding of consumer credit and underwriting, including knowledge of Consumer and Home Equity lending
• Familiarity with computers and banking applications/software, including MS Office and in-house data processing systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a goal oriented environment with good organizational skills and accuracy while maintaining a positive attitude

• Determine all applicable ratios and metrics and set up debt payment plans, GAP, MRC and other loan related services

• Go the ‘extra mile’ to build relationships, and enhance member loyalty and satisfaction throughout the underwriting process
• Operate in compliance with laws and regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) policies and procedures, and adhere to lending compliance guidelines

CCCU is looking for a Consumer Loan Officer to evaluate, authorize and deny consumer loan applications for consumers. You will act as a liaison between members and our credit union, helping identify the products and services that best support their financial success. You will assist qualified applicants in acquiring loans in a timely, accurate, courteous and confidential manner. This position is not commission-based or incentive-based, allowing you to focus on providing members with the lending solutions that best meet their needs.
