The EPIC Compliance Officer/In-House Counsel we are looking for: The Consumer Collection Specialist is a new role for HFD, a fast-growing company that promotes from within. This role focuses on late-stage, pre-charge off recovery for consumer agreements and loans. It reports to the team lead, who reports directly to the C-suite. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a remote employee with experience in pre-charge off collections and customer service to grow with a new team. You will work within a small team but must be capable of working independently with autonomy. The role includes excellent benefits and employee-paid insurance. Compensation will depend on experience and skills.

As a Consumer Collection Specialist – Tier 1, You Will:

  • Auto dial an evolving portfolio of 60-120 day past due patient accounts to bring them current.
  • Work with your team towards company recovery goals, with bonus opportunities based on collective and individual performance.
  • Utilize HFD’s multi-channel platform to reach out to patients via phone, dialer, email, SMS, chat, and mail.
  • Collaborate with other teams to process cancellations, disputes, and refunds.
  • Monitor your own metrics to ensure effective recovery efforts.
  • Maintain outbound/inbound occupancy in a remote setting to meet customer needs promptly.
  • Be dynamic, responsive, and proactive with customers, peers, and leadership.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in loan servicing, collections, or similar in consumer credit, with negotiation skills and knowledge of collection procedures.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills and soft skills for customer and team collaboration.
  • Persuasive and persistent communication skills; understanding of compliance, laws, and regulations around recoveries; ability to communicate with leadership.
  • Analytical skills to interpret reporting and metrics.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced call center environment.
  • Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.
  • Knowledge of skip tracing and locating consumers.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative mindset.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently in a home environment.
  • Flexible to adapt to changes within a new team environment.
  • Proactive in sharing ideas and speaking up.
  • Attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
