Bemis Manufacturing Company, based in Sheboygan Falls, WI, seeks a Consumer Care & Retail Specialist for the Bemis Bath Shoppe. You’ll handle in-store and phone support, guide customers with product knowledge, and process orders with accuracy.

The role combines sales, merchandising, and daily store operations to deliver a superior shopping experience. You’ll engage with customers, maintain stock, and coordinate with sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of retail experience.

• Excellent customer service both in-person and on the phone.
• Maintain professional attitude in all interactions.
• Clear verbal and written communication with reps, customers, and internal partners.
• Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work Saturdays; some sales events may require additional hours.
• Minimal lifting up to 25 lbs; some bending and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide product data for reps and customers.
• Update order status to reps and customers.
• Suggest improvements to benefit customers and department operations.
• Handle consumer communications professionally.
• Enter orders for general accounts.
• Complete miscellaneous projects as needed.

Role Overview

The Consumer Care & Retail Specialist will work under the direction of both the Customer Service Manager and Bemis Bath Shoppe Manager. This role will include all phases of activity normally associated with the Bemis Bath Shoppe & Boutique, consumer care, and order entry.

Specific Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous customer service using cross-selling techniques to guide, direct and influence the purchasing decision. In store & via phone.
• Product consultation and demonstration. Function as a consultant in terms of product function and design. Staying up to date with product knowledge as product offerings change.
• Cash register sales, order fulfillment, phone sales, process customer orders/returns and all related transactions.
• Assist with store operations including daily opening and closing, cash reconciliation, display changes, product receiving/stock counts, general housekeeping, point of sale problem solving, and preparation of reporting.
• Assist with merchandising displays to maintain a sophisticated product presentation.
• Inventory control/replenishment. Maintain proper stock levels.
• React promptly to coordinate, communicate, and implement customer driven requirements.
• Acquire and provide knowledgeable product data for reps and customers.
• Proactively communicate order status updates to reps and customers.
• Actively engage in efforts to improve methods to benefit the customer and the effective operation of the department.
• Provide courteous and professional response for consumer sourced communication and concerns.
• Perform order entry for general accounts.
• Miscellaneous projects as required.

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Post high school education preferred
• 1 – 2 years of retail experience
• Ability to become a product knowledge expert, including understanding the differences in materials, components, functionality, and the application best suited for each customer.
• Ability to interact and provideexcellent customer service. Both in-person and on the phone.
• Ability to always maintain professional attitude.
• Effective and persuasive verbal and written communicator that provides confidence in all situations with reps, consumers, sales managers, and internal partners.
• Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and stay self-motivated.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays (no Sundays or holidays). Additional hours required during sales events within the shoppe.
• Minimal lifting, up to 25lbs. Minimal bending, reaching and climbing ladders.
