Position Summary

As a Consumable Territory Manager at STERIS, you are the primary contact and sales consultant responsible for selling and supporting the SPD Reprocessing portfolio of Consumable products. You will be responsible for protecting and expanding the business for Instrument Cleaning Chemistries and Sterility Assurance Products within hospitals and surgery centers.

This is a remote-based, customer-facing position. Candidates must be based in North Dakota to support and service our customers in this territory, which covers North Dakota, South Dakota, and Northern Minnesota.

What you will do as a Consumable Territory Manager
  1. Develop, communicate, and execute a strategic business plan for the Consumable product line.
  2. Ensure proper pre-call planning and customer visits within the territory.
  3. Define top business priorities and work proactively to meet them.
  4. Achieve financial objectives through planning, forecasting, and meeting revenue and margin goals.
  5. Meet or exceed customer expectations and communicate their needs effectively.
  6. Participate in customer group functions and associations such as SGNA, APIC, CS, and AORN.
  7. Understand customer goals and match our products and services to solve their issues.
  8. Utilize value-added services like TSSR, in-service videos, sizing studies, and CEU training to differentiate STERIS.
  9. Understand GPO contracts and their application to accounts.
  10. Participate in product training to stay knowledgeable about STERIS offerings.
The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3 years of successful sales experience
  • Ability to meet hospital/customer credentialing requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 40%

Preferred:

  • 2 years of successful Consumables experience
  • Experience selling in the SPD space and managing large portfolios
  • Understanding of hospital buying processes, including National Accounts, GPO, IDN, and distributors

Pay range: $55,000 base with target earnings of $100,000–$110,000, incentive plan eligible.
