Davey Resource Group, Inc. is hiring for a field vegetation specialist to plan and analyze vegetation management projects in Glade Spring, VA. The role involves working outdoors, using GIS data, and supporting IVM projects with hand-held data collection.

You will collaborate with project teams to deliver safe, reliable power line clearance and environmental compliance. Travel across the utility service area is expected, with a strong emphasis on safety and technical innovation.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors and the ability to hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
• Read and follow GIS data and maps; ability to work independently.
• Leadership experience and desire for career growth.
• Demonstrated expertise in problem-solving, meeting deadlines, and technical innovation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability and desire to travel throughout the utility service area.
• Valid Driver's License with clean DMV driving record and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle.
• Ability to identify local tree species & growth rates.
• Organizational skills; working knowledge of computers and programs, file creation, manipulation, and sharing.
• Preferred: ISA certification, ISA Utility Specialist

Payrate: $19-$25/hour, 40 hours a week
