Job summary

Davey Resource Group, Inc. in Glade Spring, VA is seeking an outdoor-oriented vegetation management professional to contribute to planning and analysis for utility right-of-way projects. The role offers competitive pay ($19-$25/hour) and a path to career growth within a large, employee-owned company.

You will work on field assessments, data collection with handheld devices, and collaborate with project teams to deliver safe, reliable power and compliant vegetation management.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors and the ability to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
• Ability to read and follow GIS data and maps; ability to work independently.
• Leadership experience and a desire for career growth will be given a priority.
• Demonstrated expertise in problem-solving, meeting deadlines, and technical innovation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability and desire to travel throughout the utility service area.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean DMV driving record and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle.
• Ability to identify local tree species & growth rates.
• Organizational skills; working knowledge of computers and programs, file creation, manipulation, and sharing.
• Preferred: Utility Right of way vegetation experience, tree crew foreman experience or other related experience
• Preferred: ISA certification, ISA Utility Specialist
